The narratives about our politics are changing with young individuals occupying key positions to bring their ideas to life and drive development. We can also see the seeming marginalization of women reducing. Be that as it may, it can still get better.”

Above are a few of my words when I was featured on Tungba FM 100.9 FM, where I shared my take on Nigeria’s political landscape.
It was an engaging session that allowed me to delve into the transformative role that the youth play in shaping policies and driving change. Young leaders bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to longstanding challenges, demonstrating a commitment to transparency and accountability. Our energy and passion resonate with the electorate, fostering a new wave of civic engagement and participation among citizens.
I used the medium to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, my mentor; Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala as well as other political leaders and youth enthusiasts who are passionate about youth development.
I emphasized that however, despite these positive strides, we must remain vigilant about the systemic barriers that still exist. Ensuring equal representation for women and marginalized groups is crucial for a truly inclusive political environment. Continued advocacy and education are necessary to dismantle these barriers, empowering every citizen to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.
Together, we can continually build a political landscape that reflects the diverse voices of our society.
